Specific duties for the Branch Manager on a daily basis include:
  • Provide leadership by directing all branch operations; sales, service, delivery, and business development strategies to ensure the branch achieves the desired results.
  • Build relationships with customers and vendors to directly increase sales through these relationships.

ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER

(Salaried Position w/Bonus Opportunity)

Assistant Branch Managers work in conjunction with their Branch Manager lead the team with energy, professionalism, and an urgency to complete tasks.

  • Supervise the Drivers and warehouse operations to include guiding, assigning and training personnel to receive, store and distribute building material.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse to insure that orders are pulled timely and accurately and that they are loaded and unloaded for the vendor or customer promptly.
  • Oversee the dispatching of trucks for timely and accurate delivery of product to job sites.
  • The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of inventory control to include purchasing, weekly cycle counts, pricing, review and disposition of damaged and outdated stock. Other duties include order processing, day-end balancing, and assisting with all other areas of running the branch.

DRIVER

(Hourly Position w/Safety Bonus Opportunity)

Work Monday through Friday and be home every night!

You are in the driver's seat with your career at SRS when you select to be a CDL Driver with us. We are committed to the personal and professional growth of our team members. We are a leading wholesale distributor of roofing materials and need CDL A Driver or CDL B Drivers to grow our business. As a Driver, you are a vital team member in the distribution of our products and we will provide all the training and tools necessary for you to excel in this job safely. This is a very physical position that requires the Driver to help in loading and unloading bundles of shingles that weigh from 80lbs to 100lbs each, on a continuous basis. All of our Drivers complete an application to be presented for employment verification (DOT regulations).

Qualifications:

  • Driving Record: No more than 2 moving violations or accidents, within the last 3 years, no license suspensions within the last 5 years (for driving-related reasons).
  • Driving Record: You cannot have a DUI or DWI on record in the last five years and if hired, receiving a DUI or DWI is NOT acceptable while employed.
  • High school degree, GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Overtime hours: Weekday and Saturday overtime hours available during busy times.

Inside Salesperson will assist our walk-in customers directly, coordinate closely with our outside sales force, drivers and warehouse personnel to meet our customers’ needs in a timely and efficient manner. Our Warehouse personnel are an important part to distributing our products. We are a wholesale distributor of building materials selling residential and commercial roofing products, and we are seeking a Warehouse person to work in a safe environment with positive people. You can learn our building products business and grow with us.

The Warehouse person will properly and safely stock our roofing materials in our warehouse, pull inventory for customer pick-ups, use a forklift to unload inventory from incoming delivery trucks and load our trucks for jobsite deliveries. You will insure accurate counts of inventory as it comes in and goes out, rotate stock and properly handle any damaged materials. Be part of a team, because we have a ''team-first'' attitude. Utilize your strength and reach new heights as a Rooftop Loader for us. We are a wholesale distributor of building materials selling residential and commercial roofing products and we are seeking a full-time Rooftop Loader to work in a safe environment with positive people. You can learn our building products business in this role and grow with us as a driver, warehouse, operations or salesperson.

Rooftop Loader will support the Driver at the Branch, by loading the truck and riding with the Driver to the job site to unload the building materials safely and efficiently. The roofing materials will be unloaded onto the roof of the building with attention paid to the Roofing Contractors' needs and the homeowners' property. There is opportunity to learn about our industry, new equipment, and our business operations.

TERRITORY MANAGER

(Salaried Position w/Commission Opportunity)

Sell for roofing and building products as an outside sales person. We provide teamwork, support and autonomy to our sales team. You can develop your territory, build lasting business relationships and earn a base pay with uncapped commissions and more. In our industry, we sell to repeat customers (mostly contractors and builders), which will allow you to use your relationship selling skills to build a large pipeline of business, leading to your steady and increasing income potential.

The Territory Manager's primary role is to call upon new and existing customers and develop new business opportunities in the local roofing, general contractor and home builder markets. The sales person will coordinate closely with our inside sales support team and our vendors to plan and execute the promotion of products and services to our customers. The development and execution of a detailed annual sales plan will also be a critical requirement for this position.

A Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching the drivers to job-sites, assisting our walk-in customers and helping them over the phone. Depending on the workload, Dispatchers assume many of the same responsibilities as our Inside Sales Associates and have the added responsibility of coordinating deliveries efficiently.

The 'MIT' program:

Management Trainees will be hands-on from day one as you learn every position in the branch. Other training will consist of individual coaching, conference calls, webinars, online courses, and a 2-week training class in Dallas, TX a few months after you start. At corporate, you will meet the people who support you and the branches and our executive team, learn valuable information from industry legends, and add key sales and management skills to help you shine. It's here where you will also meet other Management Trainees from across the U.S.

The Management Trainee Program is designed to last approximately 1 to 2 years. Each person and branch is different and thus the suggested assignments and time lines may vary. MBA LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Our MBA Leadership Development Program is a comprehensive program to take a leadership role in operations or a strategic, corporate role. You will have direct access to multiple leaders and teams across the U.S. and in the corporate office.

The program will involve working in multiple corporate functions such as; Finance and Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Marketing, Pricing, Fleet & Safety, Information Technology, Human Resources and Procurement. During this time you will work on projects and operational processes, which you will have a key role in establishing and implementing, will be determined, based on your skill set and what SRS' needs are. The program also includes working in a branch and learning all of the operations of a multimillion-dollar distribution center. Some have opened a ''greenfield'' branch, participated in an acquisition, worked in a branch after during an event, and other situations to prepare you for a leadership role at SRS.
